TRI HITA KARANA FOUNDATION
Tri Hita Karana is a non-profit foundation which aims to develop the potential of the Bali community through education and social action, harmonizing the wisdom of traditional Balinese culture with contemporary global development.
The Tri Hita Karana Foundation was established July 16, 1997. The founder is Tjokorda Raka Kerthyasa, S.Sos. M.Si, Charlotte Esser, Mr. Atjin (died), Mr. Dw. N. Batuan, Mr. N. Bawa (died), Wayan Serinih, Ibu Ni Wayan Taman, and Anak Agung Gd Rai.
Tri Hita Karana is the Hindu philosophy which teaches that humans beings can achieve happiness in life by maintaining harmony between humans and God, between humans and other humans, and between humans and nature.
Tri Hita Karana Foundation has focused on three projects:
Suta Dharma School
The Foundation’s goal in Suta Dharma School is providing education for children from all economic levels to preparing them to participate successfully in global culture while grounding them in knowledge and appreciation of nature and of traditional Balinese culture.
Educational Scholarships
Since 1997, 625 students have received educational scholarships from Tri Hita Karana Foundation. These have included not only students of Suta Dharma School at all levels, but also students in junior high school, vocational school and university. Two outstanding Suta Dharma teachers were given scholarships which enabled them to graduate from Maha Saraswati University.
Capital Assistance to Disadvantaged Families
Since early 2008, the Foundation has helped about 17 poor families by providing venture capital for raising livestock.
BALI EVENT TRAVEL
Bali Event Travel as a partner of Tri Hita Karana Foundation is promoting and seeking support from other community to combined a charity programs with our customer’s program when they held a Meeting, Insentive, Convention, Exhibition, Group Tour, CSR and Event program in Bali.
Our programs vary in size, budget and scope, depend to our customer’s program and request.
HOW TO PARTICIPATE
- DONATE FOR EDUCATION
With economies in the developed world having their own difficulties, we must invest in the education of the world's children to secure new growth.
Anyone can establish a donor of fund or material for children education. We try to help every child will be able to complete a full course of primary education.
- HELP A CHILD IN A NEED / HELP POOR CHILDREN
This program normally take in abandoned poor children in some villages in Bali and orphanages for a better future. The objectives is to provide shelter, school supplies, food, clothes, materials for recreation and others. You can decide for yourself what you want to support and how.
